International Conference Calls with Norway the Easy Way
International Conference Call Norway
International Conference Call Norway
If you're in Norway and need a convenient way to hold
a conference call with people in other countries, consider using an international
conference calling service developed specifically for international group calls.
As you may know, dialing an international phone number causes a host of problems amongst a group of diverse participants.
For example, some participants will wonder how much it will cost them to call Norway from their countries. Others
might not know the proper procedure for placing an international call.
Global Conference Call Collaboration in Norway
Business professionals, politicians, researchers, entrepreneurs, family members, friends, and others throughout
Norway often use international conference calling services to participate in global conference call with others.
While alternatives such as web conferencing exist, many global conference callers prefer to use an international
voice call. There's no software to install, no cameras required, and no need to appear on camera. At the same time,
global conferencing allows participants to interact in real time.
For example, you'd give participants from the Netherlands a local access number for Amsterdam, or a Netherlands
toll free access number.
The same is true for your participants in USA, Canada, Asia, Africa, and other parts of the world. Each would
dial-in using an access number included in your account activation.
Benefits of holding a Norway global conference call to collaborate with others include:
Ease of
use
No Internet connection required
Crystal clear audio
MP3 call recording
Convenient to set up and participate in

Norway Telecommunications
As of 2012, Norway had about 1.46 million main line telephones in use and more
than 5.7 million mobile cellular subscribers. Its telecommunications system is considered to be completely modern
in all regards - and has one of Europe's most advanced telecommunications systems.
Domestically, Norway is served by a satellite system. Mobile phone use is extensive, particularly due to Norway's
expansive rural areas. Internationally, Norway is served by both buried and submarine cable
systems along with satellite earth stations.
As of 2009, there were more than 4.4 million Internet users in Norway, which was roughly 92 percent of Norway's
population at the time. According to data from the International Telecommunications Union (Geneva), by 2012, 95
percent of Norway's population had Internet access.
The Norwegian Communications Authority, formerly known as Norwegian Post and Telecommunications Authority, is responsible
for regulating and controlling Norway's telecommunications sector. About 200 telecommunications providers are registered
with the Norwegian Communications Authority from ACN Norge AS to Zisson AS.
According to the Norwegian Electronic Communications Services Market (1st half 2014) report posted on the Norwegian
Communications Authority website, the number of fixed line telephone subscribers in Norway has slowly gone done
since 2002 while the number of mobile subscribers increased. A similar trend has occurred in the fixed and mobile
Internet markets.
The report also detailed Norway's telephone traffic decline with traffic from ISDN and PSTN falling 15 to 20 percent
annually from 2008 through 2013. From 2013 to the first half of 2014, Norway's telephone traffic fell even further
- 24 percent. The report suggests that much of this decline is attributable to the use of alternative telecommunications
services such as FaceTime and Skype.
Norway's fixed line telephone market is dominated by Telenor with roughly 68 percent of the market.Ventelo has
5.3 percent, Telio another 4.8 percent, Tele2 4.7 percent, TDC 3.6 percent, and all others combined 13.2 percent.
The broadband telephony market share is a little more balanced with Telio having 31.4 percent, Telenor 24.6, Get
6.5 percent, Phonect 5.2 percent, Viken Fiber 3.9 percent, and all others combined 28.4 percent.
Telenor dominates the mobile telephone market as well with 49.7 percent market share. TeliaSonera comes in second
with 22.9 percent. Network Norway has 12 percent, Tele2 has 6 percent, and all others combined have 8.9 percent.
The mobile broadband market looks similar with Telenor and TeliaSonera in the top two spots respectively.
The report noted that Norwegians commonly us their mobile phones internationally when traveling outside of the
country. While the number of voice minutes and text messages used when roaming have remained relatively constant
from 2010 through the first half of 2014, international data traffic has increased dramatically over that same
time period. Norway International Conference Call Features
