- VoIP Service - What is VoIP or
Broadband Phone
VoIP – short for Voice over Internet Protocol –
will eventually
replace our current phone system, according to most experts.
With traditional phone technology, a direct circuit is opened
between two calls. That’s why the system is often referred to
as “circuit-switched”.
A high-speed Internet connection (also known as broadband)
is the connection to your home or office that provides fast
access to the Internet. These connections can be DSL,
Satellite or Cable connections.
- How is the Quality ?
On a quality scale of 0 to 100, it is our opinion
that regular
telephone service gets a quality rating of 99, VoIP service a 98,
and cellular service an 85.
Like traditional phone lines, there is no delay when speaking
on a VoIP broadband phone call.
