Why use the dial-out feature?
1 If there is no
access number in your guests country
Customers can use the dial-out feature to add attendees to a call if their attendee is located in a remote region
that does not have toll-free or local access numbers. In this case, the chairpeson or moderator simply uses the
included dial-out feature to add that participant to the call easily and instantly.
2 Moderator gains
A host of a call may want to add a participant to a phone meeting quickly without waiting for the guest to dial-in. Or add a participant into the call at a certain point during the conference instead of
from the call start.
Example | Fetch a job interview candidate with dial-out
A common use for using dial-out is to bring a third party into a meeting after others have had a pre-conference
for a job candidate interview.
3 Reduce costs
Some customers prefer to use the dial-out option because the dial-out rates can be lower than the toll-free access
rate. This depends on the country
of the invitee being dialed-out to.
Adding a remote remote guest using dial-out
"We need to host a conference call with participants located in Saudi Arabia, Germany, the US, South Korea
and Kuwait. I
do not see Kuwait on the toll-free list. How do we get Kuwait attendees
on the call?"
Use the included dial-out option to add the Kuwait participant.
When you wish to add a guest using dial-out, the Leader of the call enters [ * 1 ]
A voice prompt will ask for the entry of the international phone number for your guest. In this case, enter the
Kuwait attendee's phone number to instantly add the attendee to the call.
The Kuwait guest will simply answer the ringing phone and immediately be added to
the call in progress.
Use the dial-out feature
to add a participant in any country.
