- Recording a Conference

A recorded conference can include both web and audio. Establish your telephone conference first, then use the following
procedure to link the recording to the telephone conference.
To start recording:
1. Start your conference.
2. From the Presenter toolbar, click the Recording [ ] icon.
3. Read the Terms and Conditions and click Accept to continue.
The Recording dialog box is displayed.
4. Click the New tab.
The following screen appears.

5. Enter the access number for your telephone conference on the dial pad.
6. Click Dial.
7. Following the voice prompt, use the on-screen dial pad to enter the requested information.
8. In the Recording name box, enter a name (optional but recommended).
9. Click Start Recording.
- A Recording icon in your browser status bar indicates
that recording is active.
- Stopping a Recording
You can stop recording at any time without ending the conference.
- To stop recording:
- 1. Click the Recording [
] icon in the tool bar or on the browser status bar.
The Recording dialog box opens.
2. Click Stop Recording.
3. Click OK.
- The Recording Archive displays the new recording.
You can download the recording at any time to replay the conference and/or distribute the file for others to view.
- Downloading and Playing a Recording
A recorded conference appears in your Recording Archive. You can download the recording at any time to replay the
conference and/or share the recording with others.
- To download a recording:
- 1. Log in to your conference.
You do not have to start the conference to access the Recording Archives.
2. From the Presenter toolbar, click the Recording [ ] icon.
3. Read the Terms and Conditions and click Accept to continue.
The Recording dialog box is displayed.
- 4. Click the Archive tab.
- The Archive displays a list of your recorded conferences.
- 5. Locate the recording and download the compressed file to your computer.
6. Follow the instructions for your decompression software to unzip the compressed file
and save the decompressed files to a folder on your local drive.
- To replay a recorded conference:
- 1. Locate the folder on your local drive containing the unzipped files.
2. Double-click the file play.exe to open the recording to open in Flash Player or play.html
to open the recording in a browser.
- Sharing a Recording
After you download a recording, you can make it available to others by uploading it to a network or a Web site.
- To share a recording from a Web site:
- 1. Use FTP or an equivalent tool to upload the decompressed files to a Web server.
2. Distribute the URL to the file play.html.
- To share a recording from a network:
- 1. Upload the decompressed files to a network folder.
2. Distribute the path to the file play.exe if you want the recording to open in Flash Player
or play.html if you want the recording to open in a browser.
- Notes:
- 1. All of the unzipped files are needed to replay the conference. For best results, keep
the files for one conference together in a dedicated folder.
- 2. Some Web servers require an index file named index.html. In this case, rename the file
play.html to index.html.
- 3. You can also share the ZIP or EXE file by sending it as an email attachment or by copying
it to CD or other media. Include instructions for decompressing and opening the file play.exe or play.html.
- Ending a Conference
When you are finished with your
presentation click the STOP button on the toolbar to conclude the conference and disconnect all participants. At
this point you are still logged in and can start a new conference or publish a new presentation. If you are finished
you can log out of your account using the LOGOFF button on the toolbar.
