International Callback Service

How does CALLback save money ?

CALLback saves money by reducing the overall cost of a call by
enabling the call to be
re-originated FROM the U.S .

The deregulation of the U.S. telecommunications industry and the free market conditions that exist in the U.S. have resulted in the lowest long distance rates of any country. This low rate condition helped create the strategy for saving money on international calls by using call re-origination. This is otherwise known as a 'callback' service.

What is call re-origination?

The re-origination of a call occurs when a 'callback' computer located inside the U.S. receives an inbound call from a callback customer or subscriber.

The customer is issued a unique U.S. telephone number upon subscription. The U.S. telephone number known as the access number is associated in the computer with the customers 'callback' number.

The computer is programmed to detect the inbound trigger call and, within seconds, automatically sends back a call to the pre designated phone number of the subscriber. This 'callback number' can be any telephone number in the world.

When the subscriber receives this return call from the computer, the user can then enter the digits of the desired call destination phone number located in any country.

Steps Necessary to Re-originate a Call

The steps necessary to re-originate a call are:

1. Initial call or 'trigger' call from the customer goes the the specially programmed computer in the U.S. which detects all inbound calls. This call is not connected, hence this is an incomplete call from the customers location.

2. Within seconds the computer sends the registered subscriber, at the pre programmed phone number, a U.S. connection and emits a voice prompt that asks the user to enter the desired call destination number. The user enters the digits of the phone number that he/she wishes to call and the call is processed immediately.

The Bridging of Two Calls

What actually takes place in making a call using a callback service is the bridging of
'two' calls.

The two calls are:

First Call: The call returned back to the subscriber after the computer detects the inbound trigger call.

Second Call: The connection to the users desired call destination number. These two calls originate FROM the U.S. even though the subscriber may be located in any country.

Both of these two calls are combined together and charged at super low U.S. rates (the callback company rates) instead of local monopoly rates.

This entire process is done automatically with no action required on the part of the callback customer except to dial the U.S. access number and wait a few seconds for the return call from the U.S. computer.

Can using a callback service save you money no matter what country you are calling ?

Savings typically occur when the subcriber is located on a continent other than the party that is being called. In other words, savings do not usually occur if calling inside your own country or to a neighboring country.

Savings are usually achieved on
intercontinental calls. Intercontinental calls usually always result in significant savings using callback.

As an example, if you are in Brazil and want to call Argentina, you will not save using a callback service. However, if you are calling North America or Europe or Pacific Rim countries from Brazil your savings will be significant using callback.

There are exceptions where savings will be enjoyed even when calling to your own continent but it rarely happens. One exception is calling from one intra European country to another and calling to or from Mexico to other North American destinations such as the U.S. or Canada.

It costs less to call Brazil from the U.S., than to call the U.S. from Brazil

The concept of the 'call back' is really nothing new. People have been using a call back strategy to save money for decades.

For years, family members outside the U.S. 'signal' their U.S. family by calling and letting the phone ring once. This incomplete call would be at NO cost because no connection was made.

The family members located in the U.S., (always with the lower phone rates) would receive the signal and 'call back' the family members overseas.

Any caller in any country now has an alternative to paying high local monopoly rates with CALLback.

International call back, specifically CALLback, serves both personal and business users.
